We have many different yarn bases for you to choose from. Check out all the details about each of them.
We do our best to photograph our yarn as close to the actual colorways as possible. However, different settings on your monitor or phone screen can change the way the colors show versus how they are in reality.
Also, our yarn is dyed in very small batches, so there can be variety from batch to batch. Finally, different fibre blends and yarn bases will take up colour in a variety of ways which can have an effect on the final outcome of each colorway.
No. By default, we ship our yarn in skein form. This is how it's dyed and is easiest on the fibres for long term storage. However, if you were to knit or crochet from the skein directly you would end up with a big tangled mess!
If you need your yarn wound into a cake, we can do so for a fee. Just add the service to your cart as many times as you need skeins wound.
Due to the highly varied nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins are ever exactly the same. In order to reduce the chance of having color blocking in your final project, we recommend that you alternate skeins (like if you were knitting stripes) to have the colorways blend together more.
Instead of entirely retiring many of our colorways, we have decided to have some of them be "batch colorways". This means that these colorways require a minimum order of 2 skeins. This allows us to only dye your order and still have the colorway turn out the way it's supposed to without us needing to make extra.
