Our Fuss-Free Return Policy: Making Things Right for You
We get it – sometimes life throws a curveball, and that yarn you were head over heels for just isn't working out. Don't fret! At Black Cat Custom Yarn, we're here to make things right. Our return policy lasts for 30 days, so if you have a change of heart, please give us a shout as soon as you can. Unfortunately, after 30 days have passed, we can't accept returns or exchanges.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for a return, your yarn must be in its original, untouched glory – unused, in mint condition, and wrapped in its original packaging. If you've already had a playdate with your yarn (removing the belly band, opening up the skein, or transforming it into a ball or cake), it's no longer in a re-sellable condition and is non-refundable.
Refunds (when applicable):
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll shoot you an email to let you know it arrived safely. We'll also inform you whether your refund has been approved or rejected. If you're in the clear, we'll process your refund, and the credit will magically appear on your credit card or original payment method within a certain number of days.
Delayed or Missing Refunds (when applicable):
We do our best to issue your refund promptly once we receive your returned item. If the refund hasn't materialized yet, please follow these steps:
- Double-check your bank account.
- Contact your credit card company, as it might take some time for your refund to be officially posted.
- Get in touch with your bank, as there's often some processing time before a refund is posted.
- If you've completed all these steps and your refund is still MIA, please email us at contact@blackcatcustomyarn.com.
Sale Items (when applicable):
Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Sadly, sale items can't be refunded.
Exchanges (when applicable):
If your yarn has a defect or arrives damaged, we'll gladly exchange it for the same item. Just shoot us an email at contact@blackcatcustomyarn.com, and we'll set up an exchange for you.
Shipping: Before sending us a return, please reach out to us first. If we receive a random return with no prior communication, we'll consider it a surprise gift!

Keep in mind that you'll need to cover the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping fees are non-refundable, and if you receive a refund, the original cost of shipping your product will be deducted from your refund total. If your order qualified for free shipping, the amount it cost us to send your item will also be deducted from your refund total.
We know that sometimes items get lost in the mail, and we can't guarantee that we'll receive your returned item. To keep both of us covered, we recommend using a tracked shipping service – it's like an insurance policy for those pesky postal mishaps.
